As
part of an ongoing commitment to the use of the
natural environment to benefit the community,
Lords House Farm offers a variety of activities to
promote and enhance the local environment and
provide a fascinating insight into the world we live
in.
Schools and community groups can access
environmental activities on a pre-booked basis.
Activities cover a range of key stage learning in
biology, geography, science and geology. Less formal
activities such as llama trekking, teddy bears
picnics and environmental games and craft activities
are also available. The site has a comprehensive
stream study pack, a large pond and wetland areas, a
lovely nature reserve newly created from an old
quarry that has SSSI status and has a 300 million
year old fossilised tree root in a rock face.
There are all weather paths around the whole 30-acre
site and activities such as tree planting take place
on an annual basis.
There is a Wildlife Watch Club on site once a month
for children aged eight and over. Please see our
calendar page for up and coming events
